摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image recognizing apparatus which accurately corrects a fixed pattern noise (FPN) of an image in a dark surrounding environment. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle image recognizing apparatus is provided, wherein when an ignition switch of a vehicle 1 is turned on, a noise learning processing section 11b fully closes a stop mechanism section 14b of an image sensor unit 14, cuts off the quantity of light incident through an optical lens 14c, calculates an average of pixel values of all pixels of a CMOS sensor 14a, calculates each of the pixel values of all the pixels of the CMOS sensor 14a and a differential between the calculated pixel values and the average, as an FPN correction amount and stores it in a noise correction amount storage area 12b for each pixel, and wherein an image lightness/darkness determining section 11c calculates a total of the pixel values of all pixels of an image captured by an image capturing processing section 11a, and wherein when the image lightness/darkness determining section 11c determines that the total of the pixel values of all the pixels of the image captured by the image capturing processing section 11a is less than a predetermined threshold, a noise correction processing section 11d corrects the pixel values of the pixels of the image with the FPN correction amount.
