<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for computing the performance of an electromagnetic apparatus and/or electromagnetic equipment using a tabular soft magnetic material. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for computing the magnetic characteristics of the tabular soft magnetic material having a processed end, the magnetic characteristics of the soft magnetic material is computed by the expression(1): B(H)=äA<SB>1</SB>B<SB>1</SB>(H)-A<SB>2</SB>B<SB>2</SB>(H)}/(A<SB>1</SB>-A<SB>2</SB>) and the expression (2): W(H)=äA<SB>1</SB>W<SB>1</SB>(H)-A<SB>2</SB>W<SB>2</SB>(H)}/(A<SB>1</SB>-A<SB>2</SB>) using the magnetization curve B<SB>1</SB>(H) of a magnetic path width A<SB>1</SB>and the iron loss W<SB>1</SB>(H), and the magnetization curve B<SB>2</SB>(H) of a magnetic path width A<SB>2</SB>different from the magnetic path width A<SB>1</SB>and the iron loss W<SB>2</SB>(H) in an excitation magnetic field H. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
