PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing packaging material for an image forming apparatus for packaging both image forming apparatus main body and its related members in the same package and realizing resource saving and reduction in size while sufficiently keeping shock-absorbing performance. SOLUTION: The shock-absorbing packaging material 20 for the image forming apparatus 1 is installed in the main body 2 with structures positioned above and below, and is arranged in an in-body paper discharging part 16 of the image forming apparatus 1 provided with the in-body paper discharging part 16 as a paper discharging space having a front face opening part 16a at least on the front face side of the main body 2. The material 20 is disposed inside the in-body paper discharging part 16, is removably placed to the in-body paper discharging part 16, and comes into contact with the upper face and the bottom face in the in-body paper discharging part 16, and has a member storing space 21 inside. In the case of a so-called in-body discharging type image forming apparatus 1, the related members can be packaged in the same package with protecting against the shock during transportation by utilizing the in-body paper discharging part 16.
