A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to ensure higher luminance than the green-emitting phosphor mixed with conventional Zn2SiO4:Mn and (Y, Gd)BO3:Tb by using the green-emitting phosphor containing CaSO4:Tb,Na. A plasma display panel comprises a front substrate(31) and a back substrate(32) which are faced between a barrier wall(36), and a green-emitting phosphor(39b) formed within the barrier wall. The green-emitting phosphor comprises caSO4:Tb,Na. The green-emitting phosphor further includes any one selected from Zn_2SiO_4:Mn and Ba_xMg_yAl_zO_(17+delta), wherein 0.8 <= x <=1.3, 0 <= y <=1, 9 <= z <=13, and -1 <= delta <= 2. |
