PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration member for culturing cells, capable of carrying out breeding, or the like, of a cell group constituted of a plurality of the cells, in a state which resembles a sphere. SOLUTION: The method for culturing the cells includes a step for forming a droplet 4 on the surface of the vibrating member 1 for culturing the cells for imparting the vibration to the droplet 4, by holding the droplet 4 containing the cells on the surface of the vibrating member 1 for culturing the cells, and having a piezoelectric plate 2, constituted of a piezoelectric material, and electrodes 3L and 3R for supplying electric force to the piezoelectric material; a step for imparting vibration to the droplet so that the peripheral surface of the cells undergo motion, which includes autorotating component, and a step for culturing the cells. The vibrating member 1 that cultures the cells by holding the droplet containing the cells on the surface of the vibrating member 1 that cultures the cells and imparts vibration to the droplet is also provided.
