PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a saccharide-containing composition for a foam, which forms a foam having excellent flame resistance by mixing and reacting a saccharide-containing composition for a foam with a polyisocyanate compound, to provide a method for producing a foam using the saccharide-containing composition for a foam and to provide a foam produced by the production method. SOLUTION: The saccharide-containing composition for a foam comprises a saccharide, a catalyst and water and is mixed and reacted with a polyisocyanate compound to form a foam, and contains 20-70 pts.wt. of water based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of the saccharide.
