PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance user's feeling of movement by displaying, in a peripheral part of user's field of view, an image that stimulates user's sense of sight. SOLUTION: A feeling of movement enhancing apparatus comprises: display means 12a and 12b for displaying images in a user's peripheral view area and in the direction approximately parallel to the user's central line of visual line; a receiving means 11a for receiving the information of the user's movement; an image generating means 11b which calculates, on the basis of the received information of movement, the rate of travel of the images to be displayed on the display means 12a and 12b and generates an image output signal for displaying, at the calculated rate of travel, optical flow as an image or dynamic images; and a display control means 11c displaying, on the basis of the image output signal generated by the image generating means 11b, the optical flow or dynamic images on the display means 12a and 12b.
