The motor (10) has a linear stator (11) with a longitudinal extension, two ends (12, 13) and an elliptical cross section. A rotor (14) is arranged at the stator and has a cross section that is adjusted to the cross section of the stator. Vibration producing devices (15, 16) i.e. piezo elements, are provided at an end of the stator or the rotor. The stator or rotor consists of material such as piezoceramics, metal, plastic or combination of the material. Vibration absorbing devices (17, 18) are provided at the end of the stator/rotor, which is turned away from the vibration producing devices.
