<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for selecting disease names different in notation representing similar diseases even when the disease name is not encoded such as new disease concepts, and when the surface strings thereof are completely different. <P>SOLUTION: A document storage means 1 stores a medical document including the disease name of a patient and a date of diagnosis, and a disease name appearance distribution calculation means 4 acquires the appearance frequency of each disease name for each predetermined period based on a plurality of medical documents stored in the document storage means 1, and a similar disease name detection means 5 decides the similarity between the tendency of the periodic change of the appearance frequency for one disease name and the tendency of the periodic change of the appearance frequency for the other disease name, and a similar disease name output means 6 outputs the disease names having the similar tendency of the periodical change of the appearance frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
