<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear and durable orthodontic bracket. <P>SOLUTION: The orthodontic bracket includes a resin composition containing 30-95 wt.% of a synthetic resin and 5-70 wt.% of a glass fiber, wherein a molded body obtained from the resin composition meets following requirements (a)-(d): (a) the bending strength (ISO178) is 100-200 MPa, (b) the flexural modulus (ISO178) is 3,800-15,000 MPa, (c) the Charpy impact strength (with notch) (ISO179/1eA) is 2-20 kJ/m<SP>2</SP>, and (d) whole light transmittance (3 mm thickness) (ISO489) is 20% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
