The code disk (1) has a code trace (2), where a characteristic pattern is applied as the code trace on transparent and non transparent regions (3, 4) in the code disk. The code disk is formed of an individual component e.g. circular ring, from transparent material. The non transparent region is inserted in a preset depth below a surface of the code disk by laser radiation. The component consists of plastic, polyamide, polymethylmethacrylate, polycarbonate and copolymers of polycarbonate and polymethylmethacrylate, where the circular ring supports the code trace. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a code disk for an optoelectronic rotation angle sensor.
