PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing gold ion-containing water capable of obtaining gold ion-containing water having high purity by an electrolysis process, and to provide a production device therefor. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a production device for gold ion-containing water provided with an anode chamber 20 and a cathode chamber 30 partitioned by an ion exchange membrane 10. The anode chamber 20 comprises an anode 22 formed of metal gold, the cathode chamber 30 comprises a cathode 32 contacted with the ion exchange membrane 10, and the anode 22 and the ion exchange membrane 10 lie in a non-contacted state. Also disclosed is a method for producing gold ion-containing water comprising: a stage where the anode chamber 20 and the cathode chamber 30 are charged with pure water 42, 43; and a stage where fixed electric current is applied to a space between the anode 22 and the cathode 32 using the above production device.
