PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil solid emulsified cosmetic that gives an excellent fitting feeling when applied, exhibits good serviceability to permit application without streaky unevenness and is stable even when a large amount of ester-based oil components is compounded. SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises (a) 12-hydroxystearic acid and/or a hardened castor oil, (b) a liquid ester oil, (c) a nonionic surfactant and (d) a powder, wherein the component (a) is contained in an amount of 0.1-10 mass% and the component (b)/component (a) mass ratio is at least 2.
