An overload warning apparatus of construction equipment and a control method thereof are provided to improve stability and effectiveness of works. An overload warning control method of construction equipment is composed of steps for inputting a tilt angle sensed by a tilt angle sensor and a work load sensed by a work load sensor to a control unit(S11), computing a standard load corresponding to the tilt angle inputted by the control unit(S12), comparing the work load calculated by the control unit with the standard load(S13), and transmitting a control signal for alarm display(S14). |
