The device has a right-angled stop (2) arranged at a carrier body (1) for forming a right-angled support for an edge of a sheet metal, where the device is manually movable back and forth along a preformed edge of the sheet metal. A bending disk (6) is arranged at the carrier body in such a manner that a bending gap is defined between an inner surface (7) of the carrier body and a side of the right-angled stop. The sheet metal edge is bendable around the bending disk by tilting of the device.
