<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device, wherein its circuitry can be reconfigured and a plurality of applications can be run simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: Register banks, each of which has the same number of banks, are provided to hold the configuration data and the results of arithmetic processing, so that the registers of the register banks are switched simultaneously by a switching signal.
