摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel photoelectric conversion element and solar cell using a compound (pigment) having excellent adsoptivity to an oxide semiconductor and high photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This pigment-sensitizing type photoelectric conversion element includes a semiconductor layer with at least the sensitizing pigment carried on a semiconductor, and an electrolyte layer, between a pair of opposed electrodes, and the sensitizing pigment contains a compound expressed by General Formula (1), wherein Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group or heterocyclic group, R<SB>1</SB>represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group or a heterocyclic group, R<SB>1</SB>and Ar may be connected each other to form ring structure, R<SB>2</SB>represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, cyano group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group, amino group or heterocyclic group, R<SB>3</SB>represents hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group, amino group or heterocyclic group, R<SB>4</SB>represents an X-substituted and substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, alkoxy group, alkyl thio group, alkyl seleno group, amino group, aryl group or heterocyclic group, R<SB>4</SB>may contain a substituent other than the X, X represents an acidic group, n represents 1 or more of integer, and m represents 2 or 3, in the General Formula (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
