PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make overdrive efficient over a plurality of frames, in a display device-driving circuit for driving a display device, in which response is slow, and which does not reach a target brightness, even if overdrive for one frame is performed. SOLUTION: When a display grayscale is switched from a first grayscale to a second grayscale, a display driving device (101) changes an overdrive drive voltage according to the number of frames from switching time. Thus, high speed brightness response is obtained. When the number of frames in which the same image is continuously displayed is known beforehand, overdrive is efficiently performed by setting the number of frames in a display pattern setting register, and by having a function of detecting image switching timing. Moreover, visibility of the image is improved by updating a display image once in several frames according to temperature information at low temperature time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
