PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compressor, capable of reducing the intake loss and improving the compressor efficiency. SOLUTION: The screw compressor includes a male rotor 1 and a female rotor 2, which rotate so as to mesh with each other; a casing 3 which forms a plurality of working chambers, while storing the male rotor 1 and the female rotor 2; an admission port 7, located radially outside the male rotor 1 and the female rotor 2; an inlet port 8 located in the vicinity of sucking-side tooth part end surfaces of the male rotor 1 and the female rotor 2 and opened, only in the rotor shaft direction to a plurality of working chambers of suction stroke; and a suction flow passage 9 which connects the admission port 7 to the inlet port 8. The suction flow passage 9 includes guide blades 24a and 24b, erected on the passage wall, facing the sucking-side tooth part end surfaces of the male rotor 1 and the female rotor 2 to guide the flow to the plurality of working chambers of suction stroke.
