PURPOSE: An ultrasonic system and a method for providing a motion vector are provided to supply the moving direction of a moving interest object to a user by providing a motion vector including the speed and direction of the interest object without the reduction of a frame rate. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic data obtaining unit(110) obtains a brightness mode image of an object. An image forming unit(120) forms a color Doppler mode image by using ultrasonic data. A processor(130) forms the motion vector of the interest object by using ultrasonic data and color Doppler mode image. A display unit(140) displays the motion vector and the Doppler mode image. A controller(150) controls the formation and display of the Doppler mode image.
