<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which prevents degradation in light-emitting quality of illumination light from each of a plurality of light-emitting regions and has excellent display quality even when including the plurality of light-emitting regions. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device (the display device) includes a backlight device (a backlight part) and a liquid crystal panel (display part) provided with a plurality of pixels and displaying information using illumination light from the backlight device. In the liquid crystal display device, a light-emitting diode 4 and a light guide plate 5 having a light-incident surface 5a on which light from the light-emitting diode 4 is incident and a light-emitting surface 5b emitting light incident from the light-incident surface 5a to a corresponding display region are provided in each of the plurality of light-emitting regions, and each light guide plate 5 is provided with a light-shielding frame 6 for preventing light incident from the light-incident surface 5a from being emitted to an external part for the side surfaces 5c, 5d and 5e of the light guide plate 5 on boundary sides of adjacent light-emitting regions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
