PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon film composite and a separation membrane module which are excellent in water resistance and chemical resistance and which have a large permeating speed, in the case of separating specific components from various mixed fluids. SOLUTION: The carbon film composite A is prepared by forming a carbon-covered-layer 3 comprising a glassy carbon on a ceramic porous substrate 1 through an intermediate layer 2 comprising of carbon particles. The carbon film composite A is housed in a housing container 10. In the housing container 10, a mixed fluid introducing chamber 11 into which the mixed fluids are introduced containing two or more gases or two or more liquids in the carbon-covered-layer 3 side of the carbon film composite A, and a fluids separating chamber 12 where only a gas or a liquid small in a molecular diameter within the mixed fluids in the introducing chamber 11 permeates through the carbon-covered-layer 3 and is introduced into the ceramic porous substrate 1 side through the intermediate layer 2 is provided, thereby designing the molecular membrane module.
