[Classes 70 and 87 (ii)] [Also in Group IV] In forming sharpedged thread, profiled strips &c. by extrusion of a plastic material or a coagulable substance, the extrusion nozzle is formed so that the edges leave the nozzle before the side surfaces. A squareshaped nozzle opening is formed by cutting along the lines c'-c' in a hemispherical depression b in a flat plate. The sides of the opening may have the form shown at d or be curved, and may be conically-widened towards the exit.
