PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of being always appropriately and accurately focused on a target object. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is equipped with an image pickup means 20 for converting an optical image into an electrical signal, and control means 16 and 14 for controlling a focus lens group 12 and a zoom lens group 5 arranged in front of the means 20. An image part for forming an image on the image surface of the image pickup means by controlling the focus lens group interlocked with the movement of the zoom lens group is integrally constituted with image pickup direction changing means 24 and 30 for changing the image pickup direction. The device is provided with a focusing range setting means for setting the focusing range of the focus lens in an automatic focus mode and a memory means for storing the set result, and acts by setting a value stored in the memory means as an actual focusing range when and after the setting of the focusing range setting means is finished. |
