PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supplying the gas fuel to the engine are provided so that the waste heat is collected from a variety of refrigerant circuits installed in a ship and the collected waste heat is used for vaporizing the natural gas. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for supplying the gas fuel to the engine comprises a vaporizer(3) and a refrigerant circuit(7). The vaporizer is installed between a storage tank(1) and an engine(5) to vaporize the liquefied gas. The refrigerant circuit circulates the refrigerant to the vaporizer to supply the heat required for the vaporizing of the liquefied gas from the vaporizer. The refrigerant circuit is an engine cooling system for cooling the engine.
