PURPOSE: An ink jet recording apparatus, a pattern formation method, and a color filter manufacturing method are provided to suppress the deviation of ink amount on each pixel and make the correction of the discharging rate of ink unnecessary. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet recording apparatus comprises an ink set head, a substrate, a mobile tool, a selecting unit, and a control unit. The ink set head comprises a nozzle(100), a pressure chamber(112), an actuator(122), an ink supply port, and a common supply path. The multiple nozzles discharge ink. The multiple pressure chambers are connected to the nozzle through a nozzle communications path(124). The actuator generates pressure for discharging the ink. The ink supply port supplies ink to the nozzle through the pressure chamber. The common supply path supplies ink to the ink supply port. The substrate has pixel patterns surrounded by a partition wall. The mobile tool moves the ink-jet head relatively. The selecting unit selects the multiple nozzles corresponding to each pixel of the pixel pattern.
