Production of nitrification inhibitor-containing mineral fertilizers (A) involves applying a solution or suspension containing up to 20 wt. % of a pyrazole derivative nitrification inhibitor (I) to a mineral fertilizer (II) in powder, prill, compacted or granulate form at 70-130 degrees C, in an amount such that (A) contains (I) at 0.001-1.5 wt. % based on the initial weight of (II). <??>Production of nitrification inhibitor-containing mineral fertilizers (A) involves applying a solution or suspension containing up to 20 wt. % of at least one pyrazole derivative nitrification inhibitor of formula (I) (or its salt) to a mineral fertilizer (II) in powder, prill, compacted or granulate form at 70-130 (preferably 87-120) degrees C, in an amount such that (A) contains (I) (or its salt) at 0.001-1.5 wt. % based on the initial weight of (II). <??>R1 = halo or 1-4C alkyl; <??>R2 = 1-4C alkyl; and <??>R3 = H or CH2OH. |
