PURPOSE: A composition for preventing or treating migratory dermatitis or malanogenesis-associated diseases is provided to develop a novel drug which reduces metastasis of vitiligo and melanoma. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating migratory dermatitis contains syndecan-2 of sequence number 1 as an active ingredient. The migratory dermatitis is melanoma, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation or vitiligo. A composition for preventing or treating migratory dermatitis contains gene to one or more syndecans selected from sequence numbers 3-6 as an active ingredient. A composition for skin whitening contains syndecan-2 gene as an active ingredient.
