<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an opening/closing mechanism for opening and closing the window member of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In a power window 10, the window 22 of a side door 12 for driver's seat is opened and closed when an opening/closing switch 24 is rotated one stage, the window 22 of a side door 12 for passenger seat is opened and closed when the opening/closing switch 24 is rotated two stages, and the window 22 of a side door 12 for rear seat is opened and closed when the opening/closing switch 24 is rotated three stages. Since the side door 12 the window 22 of which is opened and closed varies from the number of stages of rotation of the opening/closing switch 24, the side door 12 the window 22 of which is opened and closed can be changed by the opening and closing switch 24.
