<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a positional deviation correction method for eliminating error in detection of amount of positional deviation, detecting a color pattern stably even by an inexpensive light detecting means, and correcting the positional deviation accurately. <P>SOLUTION: In these image forming device and positional deviation correction method, a pattern 29BK_Y for correcting positional deviation of reference color (black) and a pattern 29C_Y for correcting positional deviation of first color (cyanogen) are formed, the red-color light having wavelength having a peak of spectral sensitivity characteristic for the pattern of the first color (cyanogen) is applied on the pattern as radiation light, intensity 35 of reflection light from the pattern is detected, a threshold level is set for the intensity of reflection light to obtain a central value of the pattern, and amount of positional deviation from the central value is computed to correct the positional deviation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
