METHODS FOR ACQUISITION OF METAFILE, FILE LIST AND FILE, VIDEO DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a metafile and control streaming distribution by one RTSP protocol.

SOLUTION: A reproduction terminal determines as a metafile distribution request by RTSP protocol based on an input content URL to send a metafile distribution request using an expanded GET_PARAMETER method of metafile distribution request to the distribution server through the network by the RTSP protocol. The distribution server receives the request from the reproduction terminal through the network, analyzes the request contents, determines as the metafile distribution request by the expanded GET_PARAMETER method, reads out the requested metafile from the reproduction data storage, and distributes the read out metafile to the reproduction terminal by the RTSP protocol through the network using the expansion GET_PARAMETER method of the metafile return.
