<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection video display apparatus that prevents a user from coming close to a housing case in such a state that light is emitted from a solid light source. <P>SOLUTION: The projection video display apparatus 100 includes a housing case 200 housing the solid light source 111, a DMD 500 configured to modulate light emitted from the solid light source 111, and a projection unit 150 configured to project light emitted from the DMD 500 on a projection plane. The projection video display apparatus 100 includes a cable terminal 190 provided on at least one of sidewalls forming both ends of the housing case 200, a sensor 600 detecting that an object enters a detection range as a range including a prescribed range from the sidewall on which the cable terminal 190 is provided, and a power controller 740 turning off power to the solid light source when detecting that the object enters the detection range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
