<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device for a ship propeller for introducing outside air into an exhaust passage while reducing cost, noise and a thermal load and stabilizing the amount of outside air. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust device includes a main exhaust passage 13 in which exhaust gas flows from an engine 3, and an idle exhaust passage 14 for making the main exhaust passage 13 communicate with atmospheric air. In the idle exhaust passage 14, a sound deadening throttle and an expansion chamber are provided. A bypass line 41 connects the downstream side end of the idle exhaust passage 14 to an upstream of the idle exhaust passage 14.
