<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass tube heating apparatus which can efficiently suppress heating of an apparatus side by comparatively simple constitution and to provide a lamp manufacturing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp manufacturing apparatus has the glass tube heating apparatus 70 for carrying out heating treatment to a glass tube 11. The glass tube heating apparatus 70 is provided with a burner 73 for heating the glass tube 11 by blowing flame thereto, a holding head 74 for holding the glass tube 11 and a suction apparatus 75. The suction apparatus 75 is provided with a blower 75a and a duct 75b which is connected with an air inlet of the blower 75a.
