PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate appropriate hydraulic pressure without excessive control of hydraulic pressure even in switching to feed-forward control by detection of abnormality of a hydraulic sensor. SOLUTION: An actual line pressure PS to be supplied to a secondary cylinder 5g for operating the secondary pulley 5d of a continuously variable transmission 1 is detected by a hydraulic sensor 9, and a linear solenoid valve 15a is feedback-controlled so that the actual line pressure Ps is converted to a target line pressure Pso. A difference ¾ΔPx¾ between current value and previous value of the actual line Ps detected by the hydraulic sensor 9 is determined in each predetermined operation period (Tsm) (S2), and when the difference ¾ΔPs¾ is a set value Po or less for a period of set time (ΔTsmxno), the feedback control is stopped, and the linear solenoid valve 15a is feed-forward controlled by use of a feedback gain If before the set timeΔTst.
