PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator that suppresses a reduction in power generation efficiency while preventing a contact between electrodes. SOLUTION: The power generator is equipped with: a fixed substrate 20 with a plurality of recesses 20a formed on one face; a movable substrate 12 having a plurality of recesses 12a formed on a surface facing the fixed substrate 20 and is disposed so as to freely move along the fixed substrate 20; a plurality of electret electrodes 3 that accumulates negative charges and are disposed in the recesses 12a of the movable substrate 12, respectively, so that the surface of the electrodes may not protrude from the surface of the substrate; and a plurality of counter electrodes 4A, 4B that are disposed in the recesses 20a of the fixed substrate 20, respectively, so that the surface of the electrodes may not protrude from the surface of the substrate.
