PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling the quality of service are provided to modify not only the QoS(Quality of Service) of a user terminal and a mobile communication network to be proper to the communication state of a service node but also a service depending on the load state of a service node. CONSTITUTION: A service node(160) obtains a first data transfer speed allocated to a user terminal from an authentication billing server(170). The service node checks up whether or not the first data transfer speed is proper to a data service. If the first data transfer speed is not proper to the data service, the service node transmits to a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node)(150) a message which requests the modification into a second data transfer speed proper to a data service. The service node provides the user terminal with a data service through a wireless traffic channel set based on the transfer data speed. |
