PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RDS (Radio Data System) reception device which has an improved PI (Program Identification) acquisition rate even when an adjacent station having a high field intensity exists with respect to an alternative station.SOLUTION: The RDS reception device 100 includes an RDS demodulation section 200 for demodulating a signal FM-detected by an FM detection section 180 to acquire PI code of the alternative station and a control section 230 for prescribing an output level of a mixer section 150 at which an AGC (Auto Gain Control) section 160 starts operation when acquiring the PI code of the alternative station by the RDS demodulation section 200. In the RDS reception device 100, an AGC operation start level is changed to a second AGC operation start level FS2 higher than a first AGC operation start level FS1 for normal reception when acquiring RDS data of the alternative station in a muting state, so that the PI acquisition rate can be improved though the field intensity of an adjacent interference wave is high. |
