<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual-mode image forming apparatus which can form an image selectively on an erasable medium or a non-erasable medium. <P>SOLUTION: The dual-mode image forming apparatus includes an input unit which supplies a recording medium containing either an erasable medium or an non-erasable medium to the image forming apparatus, and a carriage assembly which is parallel with the image forming surface of the recording medium and reciprocates along a guide rail where the carriage assembly includes an ink jet print head which forms an image on the non-erasable medium in a first print mode, and a writing head having a light source for forming an image on the erasable medium in a second print mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
