PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic welding apparatus and method, capable of improving efficiency of mount working when mounting electronic equipment and manufacture wire harness capable of preventing the appearance from being spoiled. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic welding apparatus 1 includes: an anvil for mounting a terminal fixture 3 including an electric contact section 31 connected to electronic equipment, and a conductor welding section 32 for overlapping conductors 21 that range with the electric contact section 31, while a plurality of element wires are bundled; and a chip 7 that is provided at a position opposite to the anvil, sandwiches the conductors 21 and the terminal fixture 3 at an area to the anvil, gives ultrasonic vibration while they are pressurized in mutually close directions, and welds them mutually. The ultrasonic welding apparatus 1 is provided at a position in the vicinity of the terminal of the conductors 21 and includes a conductor jumping-out prevention wall 5 for preventing the terminal of the conductors 21 from moving until the terminal overlaps with the electric contact section 31.
