PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an adhesive hardly spread around a ferrule when the adhesive is overflown from an adhesive filling window. SOLUTION: The ferrule is equipped with: a flange which is formed on an insertion opening side in the periphery of the ferrule body, wherein the insertion opening for a plurality of coated optical fiber ribbons to be inserted and a plurality of optical fiber holes are formed in the ferrule body; and an adhesive filling window which is for filling, into the ferrule body, an adhesive for fixing the optical fibers of the coated optical fiber ribbon in the optical fiber holes. This ferrule also has a recess formed for the purpose of separating from the adhesive filling window, on the side where the adhesive filling window of the flange is formed.
