COLOR FILTER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter and the like causing no conduction between the color filter and a liquid crystal drive-side substrate while reducing the number of processes in production processes of the color filter.

SOLUTION: The color filter includes: a transparent substrate; colored layers in a plurality of colors formed in pixel regions and peripheral regions on the transparent substrate; black colored layers formed on a portion of the colored layers in the pixel regions and on at least spacer formation positions of the colored layers in the peripheral regions; transparent electrode layers formed on the colored layers, wherein no black colored layer is formed, in the pixel regions; and spacers, each of which is constructed of a lamination part of the colored layers in the plurality of colors and the black colored layer, wherein at least an upper part has liquid repellent property. The black colored layers in the pixel regions, formed in grating shape, constitute a black matrix.
