<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of charging during external charging, in a power supply system of a vehicle where the external charging is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle power supply system achieves the external charging by electric power from an external power supply 260. The system includes: a chargeable energy storage device 112; a charging device 200 that charges the energy storage device 112 using the external power supply 260; and a controlling device 300 that controls the charging device 200.
