PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination method for precisely and efficiently examining a specimen sample of a subject, by avoiding erroneous artificial correlation between the subject and the specimen sample under an examination condition set beforehand, and by utilizing effectively an examination time of an examiner. SOLUTION: When the specimen sample is sampled into a specimen sample container supplied automatically from a container transfer unit based on recorded information on a wrist band of the subject, and a sampling container is normally set on the container transfer unit to be released by agreement of the sampling container with the recorded information on the wrist band, a boundary wall between the container transfer unit and a container arrangement unit is released, and the sampling container is sent into the container arrangement unit. Then, when the boundary wall is blocked, the sampling container is arranged on a position corresponding to an examination condition by the container arrangement unit, and when arrangement of all sampling containers is completed, examination starting report is reported to the examiner, and the specimen sample in the sampling containers arranged in the container arrangement unit is examined by the examiner.
