PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock for avoiding recognition of unstable behavior of a pointer and reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: A radio controlled clock 1 includes a step motor 7 for driving a second hand, a control part 4 for supplying drive pulse to the step motor 7 and changing drive energy of the drive pulse, and an illuminance sensor 60 for detecting surrounding illuminance. The control part 4 changes the drive pulse supplied to the step motor 7 so that the drive energy is small when the detected illuminance changes to less than or equal to predetermined threshold.
