Depression of pedal from " off " effects in sequence closure of contacts 21 causing closure of battery paralleling contactors 5' and 5<2> ; opening of contacts 22 and closure of contact 23 causing closure of accelerating contactor 6<1>; and finally closure of contacts 24 causing closure of accelerating contactor 7<1>. Release of pedal to first position effects reclosure of contacts 22 causing closure of transition contactor 8' over interlock contacts 7a. Whereupon interlock contacts 8a and 5a cause sequential opening of contactors 5' and 5<2> and closure of series contactor 9<1>. Renewed depression of pedal causes contactor 6<1> to reclose, contactors 8<1> and 9<1> being maintained closed over interlock contacts 8b although contacts 22 are re-opened. |
