PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lithium ion battery positive electrode active material capable of fabricating LiFePO<SB>4</SB>particulates with a uniform particle size, a lithium ion battery electrode capable of improving charge and discharge characteristics when the LiFePO<SB>4</SB>particulates obtained by this method are applied for the positive electrode active material of the lithium ion battery, and a lithium ion battery. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the lithium ion battery positive electrode active material, Li<SB>3</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>or a mixture containing a Li source, phosphoric acid source, Fe source, water, and water-soluble organic solvent with a boiling point of 150°C or more is reacted in an atmosphere of an inert gas or a reducing gas under a high temperature and high pressure, and LiFePO<SB>4</SB>particulates with an average primary particle size of 30 nm or more and 100 nm or less are produced.
