摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely avoid preignition by control including retarding the fuel injection timing when the preignition occurs, and to restore emission efficiency after the control as soon as possible.SOLUTION: When the preignition is detected, control for increasing an injection amount of the fuel from an injector 18 and enriching an air-fuel ratio in a cylinder is executed (S22, S31), and control for retarding the injection timing of a part of fuel to be injected from the injector 18 to the middle period of a compression stroke or later is executed (S24, S32) in order to avoid the preignition. When both of the controls are executed and the preignition is avoided, control for returning the injection timing of a part of the fuel retarded to the middle period of the compression stroke or later to an advance side is executed (S43), and control for returning the air-fuel ratio after being enriched to the lean side is executed when the preignition is not detected after that (S45).
