PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device, method and program which prevents a motor from stopping at a phase angle in which a dead point occurs.SOLUTION: The motor control device controls a motor having a brush and a commutator. The device detects a motor drive current and a phase angle during motor drive. The device specifies a waveform of the motor drive current when the motor makes one rotation on the basis of the motor drive current and the phase angle. The device detects a part exceeding a predetermined threshold in the amplitude of the waveform as a dead point that the motor drive current is not sufficiently conducted between the brush and the commutator. The device controls the motor rotation so as to prevent the motor from stopping at a phase angle in which the dead point occurs and to allow a drive target driven by the motor to stop within a predetermined range.
