<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger easy to bend, convenient to manufacture and long in service life without reducing its heat exchange efficiency or deteriorating its appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger comprises a first header 1, a second header 2, a plurality of heat transfer tubes 3 and a plurality of fins 4. In the heat exchanger, both ends of each heat transfer tube are connected respectively to the first and second headers, each heat transfer tube comprises straight tube segments 31 and a bent segment 32 between the straight tube segments 31, the bent segment is twisted relative to the straight tube segments at a prescribed angle, each fin is interposed between the adjacent straight tube segments, and the length of each bent segment before bending the bent segment satisfies a formula: 5tπ(180-θ)/180+2T<SB POS="POST">w</SB>≤A≤30tπ(180-θ)/180+8T<SB POS="POST">w</SB>(wherein A is the length of the bent segment before bending, (t) is a wall thickness of the tube, Tw is a width of the tube, θ is an intersection angle between the straight tube segments of the tube, and π is circumference ratio).
